Black Writers Write Back Celebrating some of the best novels by black writers from the past 20 years
We’re excited to bring you this event as part of Penguin’s new series, Black Britain: Writing Back, curated by Bernadine Evaristo. Six lost and hard-to-find books by black writers have beeb reissued to showcase and celebrate important and diverse black British perspectives. Three of the authors included in the series: Nicola Williams, Jacqueline Roy and Judith Bryan, will be joining Ellah P Wakatama OBE to talk about their books, the challenges to get their work into the mainstream and the need for more diversity and inclusion on our bookshelves.
