We welcome the new voice of the Radio 4 Today programme and former Woman's Hour presenter to talk about her work. Emma has balanced her broadcasting career with raising two young children and challenging health issues, yet her experience of maternity leave left her unprepared for the more complicated reality of what it means to be on maternity service. She sets out to capture this reality so familiar to many women, and celebrates the work of being on maternity leave, with its soaring highs and challenging lows, and its impact on how women feel about their purpose and themselves.
