Under Milk Wood A Radio Play
PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT STARTS AT 7.15 AND ENDS AT 8.30PM - NOT AS PRINTED IN THE PROGRAMME.
To mark 70 years since it was first performed, join us in our reconstructed 1950s radio theatre for a performance of this Dylan Thomas classic. Listen to the dreams and innermost thoughts of the inhabitants of the fictional small Welsh fishing town, Llareggub, including Mrs. Ogmore-Pritchard, relentlessly nagging her two dead husbands; Captain Cat, reliving his seafaring times; the two Mrs. Dai Breads; Organ Morgan, obsessed with his music, and Polly Garter, pining for her dead lover. As the town awakens and, aware now of how their feelings affect whatever they do, watch them go about their daily business. Staged and performed by RSC and Shakespeare’s Globe director Brendan O’Hea with Steffan Cennydd and Lynn Hunter.
