Stratford Literary Festival is a registered charity with a commitment to improving literacy, life skills and well-being through books, writing and reading.
What projects do we run?
- Events and projects in schools featuring leading authors and illustrators who inspire children to love books and reading
- A monthly reading group, Books with Friends, which particularly welcomes people who are lonely or feel socially isolated
- Bedtime story writing workshops in prisons throughout the UK at which prisoners create stories for their children to help maintain family contact and discourage re-offending

How you can help
We rely on support for this extensive and successful education and outreach programme. By becoming a Festival Friend or Benefactor, you will be helping us to continue to deliver this valued work.

We welcome donations, however small, towards the work of the Festival, and your donation will help us to grow the very valuable work we do in promoting the value of literacy.
We are also able to claim Gift Aid on your donation. Gift Aid allows
UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations
by the donor. This means we can claim from the government 25p for every
£1 donated, boosting the value of a donation by a quarter.
Thank you very much for your support.
